ASH Cymru
Stand Out, Speak Up and Seize Control against Big Tobacco!

ASH Wales/ ASH Cymru was established in 1976 to work ‘towards a tobacco free Wales’. They are now the leading voluntary organisation in Wales tackling tobacco use. Their main aim is to achieve a reduction in and the eventual elimination of the health problems associated with tobacco use.
Using the same principle as The Deborah Hutton Campaign and Cut Films, ASH Wales launched Kick Butts Day to inspire young people into taking action against smoking.
On the 4 April 2012, Kick Butts Day aims to empower young people to ‘Stand Out, Speak Up and Seize Control against Big Tobacco’.
By holding events and activities across the UK, young people from schools, youth groups and community groups can call attention to the problems caused by Big Tobacco on this national day of activism.
In the lead up and as part of the day, ASH Wales and Cut Films are asking young people to make a two minute film about smoking and tobacco from their point of view.
Visit the ASH Wales website by clicking here. And whilst you’re there, why not get registered to get involved on this day of action.
Pob lwc!
